Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Testpit to look at surface wet snow. Melt freeze crust at the base of the wet layer was the last portion of the overnight refreeze and was about to melt. Several ski cuts on test slopes in the immediate area on E-SE-S aspect 37 to 45 degree slopes produced roller balls. No wet snow sluffs on slab failure occurred in response to ski cuts. Informal observations matched well with pit data.
