Snowpack concerns for future loading focus on the small facets on top of the crust as well as the facets below the crust. Both have the potential to contribute to future deep slab instability, depending on how the storms forecast for this week progress. The middle and lower portions of the snowpack are in reasonably good condition to handle new snow loading.
