Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Up to 1 inch of wet snow formed on NE-E aspects and some low angle N aspects below 7,800' in this area today. Above 7,800', wet snow was limited to solar aspects. Very small and inconsequential skier triggered loose wet snow avalanches were initiated by ski turns. This wet snow will likely become a breakable melt-freeze crust overnight.

Photo: Small insequential skier triggered loose wet snow avalanche, 1 inch deep at 1:15pm at 7,400' on a NE aspect 39 degree slope angle.

Video: Overview of weak snow in upper snowpack that could become an instability concern if/when significant new snow loading occurs. This weak snow is not an issue for current snowpack stability.
