Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snow dug today in the same general vicinity as the snowpit from March 8. Significant rounding of old near crust facets has occurred over the past 11 days. Despite this rounding the crystals remain large grain (1-2mm) and are low density compared to the overlying slab. PST 43/100 end result was very repeatable just below crust formed out of the Jan 24-26 rain/snow event. Despite the ability to propagate, triggering collapse of this weak layer remains unlikely at this time. Current forecast precipitation amounts for the next 24 hours at this location are 4 inches snowfall from 0.45 inches of SWE. This is not expected as sufficient new snow load to stress this weak layer to the point of likely human triggered weak layer collapse.
