Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Toured off of Carson Pass towards Round Top Peak today.  Anywhere from 4-10'' of unconsolidated snow on most aspects at and below treeline.  Above treeline the most wind exposed areas had some light scouring from the past N/NE winds, in some exposed areas there was a 1-2'' wind crust that had developed.  Dug several hand pits all showing good bonding within the recent storm snow.  At 9500' dug a test pit that showed consistent moderate CT results down 6'' on a layer of graupel/storm snow mix.  All of these were Q2 shears.  The ECT showed no propagation on this layer interface.  There was heavy sluffing in very steep terrain but no other signs of instability within the recent storm snow.
