More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snowline in Deep Creek drainage at 6800'.  3-4'' of new high density snow on top of a melt freeze crust, crust more prominent on solar aspects but still present on north facing aspects up to 8600'.  There was a good bond between last nights storm snow and the old snow/crust interface, this was sitting on top of the last high density wind affected snow from Thursday/Friday.  Multiple hand shear tests, ski cuts, ski kicks and cornice drops in steeper terrain all pointed towards a fairly consolidated snowpack with good stability.  There was roller ball activity in steeper terrain from yesterday, slightly covered by new snow, below 7500' but no activity from today.  Good riding conditions above 7500' with challenging breakable crust conditions below 7200' on northern aspects.  Clouds were increasing as well as wind speeds as the front was moving in by 3pm but no precip had fallen by that time.
