More detailed information about the snowpack:

Snowpack gaining strength and mostly right side up in this area.  There was a fair amount of previous roller ball/wet slide activity up to 10,200' on all aspects that were over 35 degrees from the high rain event on Wednesday 12/5.  Today wet snow activity was limited to mid day when some snow was falling off rocks and trees and ski turns produced very small roller balls on steep solar aspects.  Rain runnels were mostly below 9200'.  Soft spring snow could be found in protected areas below 9500', the moderate West winds were keeping the upper elevations cold.  Firm snow surface conditions existed in most areas.

Ski pen = 0, Boot pen = 30cm.

Photo #1:  East face of Relay Peak.  Lots of previous wet slide/roller ball activity from the last high rain event on Wednesday 12/5.

Photo #2:  Looking at the west facing terrain off Relay Peak, elevation 10,200'.
