More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Consistent snow conditions on Donner Peak that have been seen over the forecast area the last week.  Lots of wind affected snow with supportable and breakable crusts and some soft snow in very protected areas.  Surface hoar was present in lower elevation protected areas mainly below 7500' but was also found above in wind protected areas but was smaller in size.  The surface hoar here did not appear to be as widespread as what has been seen over the last week.
