More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Graupel layers still widespread, but appear to have gained strength; no longer falling out of mitt pits and test pit, and seem to have gained density - though still F hard in most places sampled. 2XPST100/100 on graupel layer at melt freeze crust.

 

Picture: Wind slab developing on NE slope. Variable skiing conditions: E aspects (and presumably S and W) have a sun crust below 8,000ft. Intense solar radiation today above 8,000ft even under broken cloud cover may result in more widespread MFC tomorrow. Wind slabs developing on exposed NE slopes, but still skiable with no cracking or collapse observed. Excellent skiing conditions, though a noticeable settlement from yesterday, on N and NE slopes sheltered from the wind.

Broken skies through the morning, gave way to OVC with very light precip around noon. Carson Range appeared OBS throughout the morning.
