More detailed information about the snowpack:

Very wet and windy morning at Echo Summit. Rain observed to 8000ft, with a mix of rain and snow (though mostly rain) above 8000ft.

Roller balls were easy to initiate on the steep terrain of Becker/Talking cirque, but roller balls failed to entrain additional snow. No signs of wet instabilities observed.

Pit: Basal rounded polycrystals did not show any evidence of faceting, though they were significantly softer and weaker than the relatively cohesive snow above.

There no longer appears to be enough snow to safely descend to Echo Lake, and the lake remains unfrozen.
