More detailed information about the snowpack:

Supportable crust with limited surface softening in Meiss area today.

Pit: Several crust/facet layers near the surface. Consistent column tests, but no other signs of instability observed today.

Pic: Generally good coverage at Carson Pass. The approach from the N side sno-park to Meiss ridge was skiable, with the occasional rock/bush crossing. Supportable rain crust appears to exist at the surface on all elevations in this area.
