Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Above 8000 ft snow was colder and still soft, high winds transporting snow across Pacifc crest. Skiing on steeper terrain cascaded a small amount of surface snow that is still unconsolidated.  Variable wind board and terrain forming just below tree line from high winds building.

Below 8000 ft snowpack was gaining moisture, trees dripping and unloading remaining snow. In valley of deep creek pockets of moist air were collecting in forest and saturating snow pack with rain crusts under trees.

All hoar frost crystals are deteriorating and bonding with rounder formations.  Only one pocket observed with any feathers left and these were questionable.

Feels like surface snow is prepping for next cycle of snow and feeling good.
