More detailed information about the snowpack:

Near surface and near crust facets were found from Grass Lake to Powderbowl summit on N through E aspects, on top of a strong mid and lower snowpack. However, where Powderhouse Bowl avalanched during Feb 9,10 storm (as did many steep slopes in the area), the snowpack remains shallow and more deeply faceted (pit and video). Note that basal facets (photo) were not observed as a continuous layer, and were interrupted by talus at base of snowpack.
