More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Significant melting has occurred in this area on the southerly aspects. Only patches of snow remain in many areas even at the higher elevations. In areas with snow 2-3 inches of soft corn snow had formed on the surface by noon. This wet surface snow rested above a supportable snowpack and provided good travel conditions. I did not see any signs of wet snow instabilities during my tour. The northerly aspects still held decent snow cover, but the snow surface remained frozen on those aspects. Observations indicated a well bonded and stable snowpack on the northerly aspects.
