Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Good corn snow had formed on the snow covered E-SE-S-SW aspects by mid morning on the south side of Mt. Lincoln. This 1-3 inches of soft wet surface snow rested on top of a supportable base of strong melt-freeze snow. On the SE-S-SW aspects snow coverage continues to melt away exposing large patches of bare ground even at the higher elevations. Many sections of the PCT were visible heading south from Mt. Lincoln. On the more sheltered NW aspects, a firm supportable melt freeze crust existed on the surface above a strong and supportable snowpack.

Mostly clear and sunny in the morning with a layer of high, thin clouds developing around 12:30 pm.
