Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Significant amounts of blowing snow visible above treeline on all area peaks. Near treeline N-NE-E aspects on Tamarack Peak were heavily scoured, with small pockets of wind slab lingering in gullies and near rock buttresses on otherwise windward slopes (photo). Significant redistribution of storm snow onto SE-S-SW aspects was observed. Snowpit at noted lat/long revealed a crust facet sandwich on E aspects near treeline. Snowpit tests indicated that this layering my not react well to future snow loading in its present state.
