More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Significant scouring by NE winds in this area has reduced HS significantly since Monday. Small pockets of hard slab 30-40cm thick (photo) remain on this NE aspect. This hard slab is resting on top of up to 15 cm of old basal facets, now moist to very moist and in a rounding state. Significant difference in hardness of slab over relatively weaker layer below, but triggering is very difficult and pockets of hard slab are small.
