More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Approaching Echo Peak from Meyers at 10:00am, cloud cover was thin and temps were hovering around freezing. Rime ice was noisily falling off trees in the burn area. Snow cover is thin in the flats but still allows for skinning. Thin clouds and near freezing temps contributed to sticky surface snow (and perfect glopping conditions, both up and down). Clouds and snowfall increased as the day progressed. Above 7200 feet snow was colder and less sticky. Jumping on steep tree wells and small test slopes failed to produce any results in the below tree line terrain. Heavier snowfall in early afternoon hours limited ability to see into higher elevation bowls.
