More detailed information about the snowpack: 

10cm of very light snow had fallen throughout the day in this area with little sign of wind on the snow surface.   While sledding through the recreation area on Relay Peak rd. we did not see any obvious signs of instablity; there was very little sled traffic in the area.  The column picture shows various instabilities found within the density changes throughout the storm snow; the most fragile being 25cm down.
