More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Warm day, no clouds, no wind. N facing aspects retain cold consolidated powder but skin track compacted and challenging to grip at times. S and SE facing slopes warming with softening sun crust at higher elevations and wet snow at lower elevations. Approximately 1 day old sluffing noted on steep terrain from warming snow pack. Ski decent produced growing snowballs and 2.5 foot diameter pinwheel.

Failures observed in rudemetry snowpit on N facing, 36 degree slope, just above skin tract to Echo Peak.  Poor shear quality with no alarming observations. -JT
