Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Open areas above 8000' had a moderate refreeze last night with a developed melt freeze crust.  Many of these gullies had previous avalanche debris from the warm spell of the last 2 weeks.  Gale force S winds were keeping the snow surface frozen above 10,000.  Good corn snow conditions existed below this on our descent at 11am.  Below 8400', snow became slightly more unsupportable with ski pen increasing.  Areas below treeline, showed a weak refreeze with mostly unsupportable snow.
