More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snow level around 7,800' while in this area today from 10 am to 2 pm. New snow amounts of around 4 to 6 inches above 8,000'. Cornices had formed above test slopes and were easy to intentionally collapse. No signs of instability were revealed on the test slopes below the collapsed cornices. Snowpit data obtained at the noted lat/long revealed no evidence of instability or problematic snowpack layers.
