The snow level was around 8000 to 8300 feet on the Mount Rose highway. It was blowing pretty hard most of the morning. Snow was quite heavy. We heard no whomping that was really very little settlement. Two quick pits we dug showed anywhere from less than 1 cm to 5 cm the old granular snow on the ground. New snow seems to be bonding well to the old snow where there was snow.
