Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Our avalanche level one courses toured to the lower part of Andesite ridge to make snow pack oberservations.  We were unable to find any evidence of wind transport on the lower part of the ridge.  In our pits the new snow was right side up.  There were some isolated pockets of near crust facets under the old rain crusts.  Compression test results yielded multiple CTN results, and some CTH Q3 BRK results both in the new snow and near some of the near crust facets.  Average snow depth was 100-120 cm at top of the ridge.
