High winds and poor viz at Carson Pass

Strong winds along Frog Lake Ridge, with snowfall rates of 1cm per hour and more. Informal observations like mitt pits and test slopes showed a sensitive unstable layer within the storm snow, that did produce propagating fractures. This was observed in wind loaded and less wind loaded terrain (pics 1 and 2). 

Recently buried facet/crust combo observed along tour and produced Sudden Planar results on Compression Tests but did not propagate on an ECT.  Recent snow on top of this beginning to show slab-like qualities.
