New Snow at Relay Peak

+/-25cm of new, loose snow observded in the Relay Peak area, over 15cm of condensed snow from the previous storms.  The new snow was loose and unconsolidatied with little to no slabbing observed; however, we did not go above 9,600' or to the ridges due to visability.   

Cutts on small slopes with a snowmobile resulted in very small, loose sloughs, but no cracking.   A hard melt-freeze crust is 55cm down, over a thick facet layer.  This facet layer, below the crust, was observed in numerous areas; see picture.   Boot penetration was easily down to the crust (~55cm); getting through the crust was troublesome, even with a snowmobile.
