Powderhouse - surface hoar and facet layers

Cold 10 degree morning. Calm winds, partly cloudy. Still not very fun skiing below 8600'-8700' due to thin snowpack and large obstacles. Above that, the coverage was much better. Found about 12"+ of loose dry powder, w/ surface hoar present. Snow pack depth was 100cm @ 9000'. Dug a pit and did find a layer of loose facets at a depth of 35cm. Tests showed CTM RP and ECTN 12 at this layer. 

There was another layer of loose facets below a crust at a depth of 70cm. CTN and ECTX at this layer.
