Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Pit dug at 9500' NE facing 30 deg on slope with exposure to NE winds but with little wind affect seen and a soft snow surface.

180cm total snow depth with 35cm new snow fist to four fingers to one finger with a thin softer layer on top of a hard slab. ECTN.

Skies were overcast with light snow showers and moderate SW winds.
