Echo Peak avalanche

Sunday we climbed Echo Peak up to 200-300 feet below the summit and skied the trees on the north side of the ascent ridge.   Somewhere between 8000 and 8500 feet we heard a loud rumble and thump which we believed had to be an avalanche.  We did not have a good line of sight looking up, but there appeared to be a fresh, sizable crown across the main chute just north of  the peak, 100-200 feet below the top of the chute.  Yesterday, beginning the climb to Angora Peak from the lake, we had a clear view of the chute.   The crown, clearly several feet high, extended diagonally acrosss and up from under the cliffs below Echo Peak,  across the chute, and diagonally upward to and along the cliffs on the north side of the chute.   No coverage by post-avalanche snow was visible, and we believe the crown we saw was from the avalanche we heard Sunday afternoon.
