Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Toured on the NW Ridge of Mt. Lola, elevation range from 6600' to 8400'. Snowpack ranged from 20-85cm, with 10-15cm HST

Weather: Clear, Calm Winds, above freezing temps down low in the AM. Increased winds from the NW, below freezing temps and cloud cover in the PM.

Snow varied drastically from thin coverage down low, to good coverage up high, with great ski quality, esspecially in sheltered Northerly aspects.

Observed new/old interface, with multiple easy shear results on storm snow but no slab was present. Even with ongoing wind distribution up high wind slabs were not formed during our time above treeline.

Active wind transport along ridge line @ 8000'

Small loose dry avalanche

Storm hung up on the HWY49/Yuba river drainage
