Rubicon peak obs

Went for a late morning tour to sample the goods on rubicon. Coverage on the crest to the north seems to be much better overall. Found a very shallow snowpack below 7500ft. Even on north aspects above 8k (with the rocky terrain on rubicon) there is still a lot of obstacles. Surface hoar was pretty widespread in this region minus south facing terrain. Northerly aspects have 20-40cm of Fist hard/unconsolidated snow. Great skiing with stable avi conditions but still low tide in these parts, be careful.
