Still no slab observed at Meiss

Pic 1: Facets or facet/crust combo observed on several slopes in this area today, but still no slab above them. Compression Tests performed along approach, and at pindrop, showed Sudden Planar results, but ECTs did not propagate.

Pic 2: On this wind roll, fractures traveled very short distances and did not penetrate down to facet layer. Stiffer wind slab observed just below ridgetop and did not extend far downslope.

Pic 3: This tiny little avalanche was consistent with other observations. This path often produces D3 avalanches.

Moderate W winds with Light blowing snow. Sunny skies with clouds visible to the N, and temps right around freezing - just enough to glop skins when transitioning from sun to shade, but not enough to melt the snow surface.
