Rain runnels, heavy snow and falling temps griff creek/ Mt baldy

Rain turned to snow mid morning in north lake and air temps fell into the mid 20’s by 3pm at 7000 feet. Small roller balls observed  on SW facing test slope at 6400 feet. Heavy snowfall  and potato chip sized flakes led to intervals of S5- S2 throughput mid afternoon. Early evening snow fall mostly tapered by 5pm with increasing visibility. Well below treeline we observed calm- light winds out of the south west. No shooting cracks/whoomphing or other signs of instability was observed in the snowpack, however running open water and some “trap door skiing” hazards existed early in the tour were a still saturated snowpack existed.
