Thick, stable snow on Waterhouse

We toured the Hope Valley side of WH proper and found ~24" of new snow atop the hard old surface. The fresh snow was heavy, which made for difficult trailbreaking and slow, mostly straight skiing. Slopes were around 30 deg, and some areas were slightly wind affected. No instabilities of any kind were noted, even on the isolated 35 deg areas we found. We are currently in Hope Valley at 1700hrs and it is very windy, 0deg C, and snowing moderately.
