Improving stability in Davis Creek

We toured into Davis Creek to look at a newly reported avalanche (see separate observation). We encountered a right side up snowpack with evidence of rain on snow below 7,500' at the start of the last storm cycle. We saw one size D1 human triggered loose dry avalanche at ~8,200' on an E aspect. Once we got below 7500 ft, we experienced limited amounts small skier-triggered roller balls from warming on E-SE aspects. We also found a thin sun crust had started to form on some of the sun-exposed lower elevation slopes. When we got to the reported wind slab avalanche, which likely occurred on Feb 5, snowpit tests performed in the crown of this avalanche and other observations revealed no indications of current instability.
