blowing snow and cracking on Tallac

On our tour of Mt. Tallac today, we observed light to moderate blowing snow all day along the standard ascent ridge and near the summit area from SW and W winds. We saw moderate shooting cracks above our skin track in multiple wind-loaded pockets on our ascent of the standard uptrack, starting as low as about 8000' (see included photos), as well as just below the summit in the "mellower" skier's-left entrance to the top of the cross.  Clouds increased throughout the day and light snowfall began later in the afternoon.
