Trimmer Peak Observations

Increasing clouds and winds were found on Trimmer Peak today.  SW winds were increasing into the light to moderate range with snow transport observed on exposed near ridgeline terrain.  At the time we were there, wind slabs were just beginning to form and were still small and non reactive.  Unconsolidated snow existed on shaded aspects with settlement occurring and ski pen at shin deep.  Isolated areas of surface hoar was found in open below treeline terrain, with size and distribution ranging throughout the area.  No obvious signs of instability were observed.
