Evidence of avalanche under Grouse Rock

Saw the result of a slide just above 7800ft on our ascent to Grouse Rock from Sherwood lift in Alpine Meadows. I took the above photo on a ridge at 39.13638, -120.23822 looking south. It was across a small steep gully on the north facing side. From the quality of the snow I expect it was pretty recent, at least since the last snow fall. 

Very rough guess that the width was something like 100ft and the length 500 or 600ft. Crown seemed to very between 1 and 2ft. 

The weather details I included are from the time of our tour. I do not know exactly when the avalanche happened, nor if anyone was involved. Slope angle is a guess. 

I am a relatively new backcountry skier so I apologize if this report is lacking important information, or not noteworthy being so close to alpine. After discussing with more experienced skiers I decided to report.
