Light rain, wet snow, and small avalanches on English Mountain.

We covered ground today in the Jackson Meadows, English Mountain, Meadow Lake area with a high point of 7,600'. We spent most of the day riding in very light rain with wet but supportable and forgiving snow surface conditions. We saw the first evidence of loose wet instability in the form of roller balls upon reaching the west side of Jackson Meadows Res. Once we were able to get a view of the lower portions of the NE side of English Mtn we were able to see small loose wet avalanches as well as a couple of isolated small crowns. We traveled in avalanche terrain on one 30-32 degree SW aspect between 7,400' to 7,600' and saw no informal signs of instability on that slope.
