Riding trigger avalanche on red lake peak

Triggered a small wind slab avalance descending Red Lake Peak. Crown height was probably around 2-3" but the width propigated quite far around the slope. Was able to quickly exit the slide path (can see tracks in images). While generally low consequence (short slope, small crown, few collecting features) this was a good reminder for careful routefinding decisions.

Day Report:

-Skinned up Red Lake Peak via Alpine Mine in cloudy but calm weather until Crater Lake where the winds increased significantly.

-Continued up the ridge to approximately 9200' with increasing winds and signs of wind loading. Winds in the 30-40mph range, blowing East/South East

-Decided to head back as weather was not improving. On the descent made the decision to stay largely on the ridge and avoid steeper slopes, especially the East Face Descent

Avalanche Trigger:

-Lower down, where conditions were more clear and less wind loading was observed, took a few turns on a steeper slope. Right as the slope steepened, the snow fractured and began to accelerate.

-I was able to safely ride out of the avalanche path and my partner, higher up, was able to descend via a lower angle slope. We waited to warn two other skiers behind us who had mentioned taking a similar route.
