Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

High winds deposited several inches of dense snow on top of a melted layer from yesterday afternoon that refroze overnight. The top 2 centimeters of snow were a firm wind crust, with 3-8 inches of slightly lighter snow between this top layer and the layer that refroze. Failure at the refrozen layer.
