Wind-scouring and warming on S-facing slopes north of Carson

Toured north from Carson Pass to check out conditions on south and southwest-facing slopes in that area. Found progressively more significant wind-effect moving higher in elevation, with scouring on west-facing slopes and ridgetops (down to the dirt/rocks/grass in places) and loading on the leeward side of gullies (east-facing slopes) (Photo 1). Some small sastrugi and melt-freeze crust on south facing slopes as well, which was more prominent closer to the ridge top. Also observed loading on north and north-east facing slopes in the Truckee River/Meiss Lake drainage-- saw a crown above a steep/cliffed NE-facing slope with some decent sized debris below (Photo 2)  and some debris on another, higher NE-facing slope further away that looked like smaller cornice drop/wet point releases below a corniced ridge (Photo 3). Things started to corn up on S-facing slopes @ ~8800 ft around 10:30, with creamed corn by 11:30 and heavier, wet surface snow by noon.
