Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Photo 1: At this location (8,100' on a SW aspect) the facets between the Dec 14 and Jan 4th layer are rounding. We had a CTM(12) Q1- at 45cm down on the Dec 14 crust but no other results on other CT or ECT. The top 5cm of snow was wet.

It rained on and off at this location starting about 11:30 last night and did not turn to snow until about 5:30 this morning. The snow was definitely "chowder", photo 2.

Small pit done about 4:00 pm last night before it started raining. Top 5cm of snow wet due to above freezing temperatures.
