Warm Temps with Light Rain on Carpenter Ridge

We snowmobiled up to Carpenter Ridge today.  Light rain occurred throughout this area overnight or during the early morning hours with around 1'' of wet surface snow on all aspects up to our high point of 8700'.  Remote sensors near this area reported near to above freezing overnight temperatures with .20'' of rain.  Signs of instabilities were limited to small roller balls on southerly aspects.  Low level clouds cleared out by midday with mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures.   

Riding conditions were very supportive with good coverage above 7000'.  The forest service access roads at lower elevations are melting out quickly with areas of mud, dirt, and rocks.
