Wind loaded fracture

There was some new snow overnight and fell quite quickly. We checked the forecast and read relevant area observations and decided to venture towards Emerald Point. We saw other people who had dropped the line similar and then we took a lap. Dropping from the riders left side of the Emerald Point Peak. The second lap we saw an entrance to Eagle Chute that we wanted to explore and test the snow. All day we heard no whoompfing and was watching for shooting cracks on our second tour up. We switched over on the riders right of the peak this time. Well 2 of us did. The other dropped the left side again. He went first and when he went he radioed to us to see if we caused a small avy. We said no and couldn't tell what he was talking about. He felt the snow hit him a bit but wasn't taken off his feet. This was a natural slide. He skied off right and away from beneath us. 
Now we were ready to descend and we talked about a slide and even noticed "hey this could go right here be careful". As my friend nudged his way out the lightest touch from his ski tip cracked the crown and dropped into the run out which either would've went over a 3 ft rock to runout or a sharp toilet bowl turn left. Either way if he wasn't prepared for that it could have swooped him. Needless to say we were even more careful the rest of the way down.
