Weather and obs from incline peak

Sun exposed aspects received some warning today, however trees in the shade still have snow on them. The surface snow on sunny aspects melted enough to get a slight crust on the way back to the truck. The north and NE aspects we were on still had very nice dry surface snow that was fast and very carvable. Near the ridge line we probed the persistent week layer and you could feel the crust with facets below. Around 130cm down. We expected there to be more snow but it was in an exposed and wind effected area. 
 

no other signs of instability were observed, and the skiing is fun!
