Incline Peak hard slabs.

I toured on Incline Peak today to look at recently formed wind slabs on NE aspect near treeline terrain test slopes along the summit ridge. Ascending towards the ridgetop there was plenty of evidence of recent blowing snow that had filled in old tracks and created rippled snow surface texture. In the targeted ridgetop area I found 1F+ hard wind slabs formed by yesterday's blowing snow. These hard slabs were sitting on top of F hard recent storm snow. I performed an ECT on the hard wind slab on a corniced test slope at the noted lat/long and got an ECTP-8 result. Skiing across this and other similar test slopes produced only very limited cracking 2 feet long or less.

Ridgetop winds were below forecast amounts and there was no blowing snow observed during my midday tour. There is still some snow available for transport if SW winds were to increase to gale force.
