Observation
Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Skied the N bowl of Freel. Dug a hasty pit at the tagged location. HS 70cm, 4cm of supportable (pencil+) crust on top and sugary snow below that all the way to the ground. This was observed in most gullies and other areas where sluff might accumulate. Elsewhere the snow was rotten, top to bottom. Didn't make for great skiing, but it was at least consistent snow and good weather!
