Windslab avalanches on incline lake Peak

Lots of wind today. Wind effect ripples evident almost everywhere. Some cracking but found slides difficult to trigger until going over 35° slopes. Pictures are  of one slide deep in the trees on a north-northeast aspect 50' slope. Fracture was triggered by ski cut and originated close to branches poking through snow. Ski pole is laid against lookers' right side of crown which was approximately 12". Second, similar slide was triggered near skiers' right side of ridge above third creek around 8600'. Cracking observed nearby but again unable to trigger slides on test slopes until going to very steep (40°) cross-loaded rollover. One other notable observation was breaking off one of the large cornices to the west of the summit triggered a sympathetic drop of 2 or 3 other cornices. No slab would release below cornices.  Powerful wind gusts and showers continued until about noon before gradually calming and dissipating.
