Castle/Andesite conditions

Light to moderate snowfall observed through the morning and into the afternoon. Calm to light wind in the morning, even on the exposed ridgeline at Castle Pass, but increasing out of the NW in the afternoon. Wind loading above treeline on all aspects except W and SW but difficult to observe given the moderate snowfall covering surface wind drift patterns. Weaker layer detected by casual pole prodding beneath the 2/11 storm, however we were unsuccessful in attempts to trigger a fracture or slide on multiple test slopes. Scoured W aspects and small cornices on E aspects of Andesite peak above treeline with evidence of fallen cornice debris, but no avalanche activity observed. Ski descent on SE aspect of Andesite was a little creamy but spared from sun crust by overcast skies.
